Management
Martin Nowak has over 25 years of experience in business, management, and teaching. He has worked in both the public and private sectors for organizations such as Budget Car Rental, SISA English Language Institute, Atomic Energy of Canada, and the Durham Strategic Energy Alliance. His biggest professional passion however is education and as such, he has spent time teaching English as a Second Language both domestically and internationally, as well as tutoring English for academic and professional purposes. Being multilingual himself, he especially understands the challenges faced by ESL students and therefore incorporates his professional and personal experience into enhancing his teaching strategies. His pupils benefit from his business development and communications background learning about the expectations they will experience in their academic and professional worlds.
Administration
Jia Nowak graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai, China with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism. To further her passion for medical science, she obtained a Bachelor in Medical Radiation Science with Honors from University of Toronto, along with an advanced certificate for Magnetic Resonance Imaging from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Her educational and professional experience has taught her the importance of English and its influence on literature, communication, business development, marketing, and medical science. She wants to use the above education as well as the experience of working at some of the top online advertising companies in Asia, the medical industry in Canada, and the development of Fast Forward Education, a precursor to Inspired Scholar, to help IS become the educational force it strives to be. Jia, an immigrant herself, understands the challenges of merging into Canadian society. It is this understanding and the accumulation of all her experiences that makes her very committed to helping students and their parents reach their highest potential through their academic and professional goals.
Teachers
Dean Regalbuto is a passionate teacher with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Carleton University and a TEFL certificate from The International TEFL Academy. He has taught all age groups and prepared many students for a variety of English proficiency exams, including PET, FCE, CAE, and IELTS. Before teaching English, Dean spent 15 years working as an analytical chemist, starting with a small hazardous waste company and, eventually, a large manufacturing corporation. In these roles, Dean tested finished products and raw materials utilizing highly technical analytical instrumentation. This provided him with valuable experience working in a team environment with common goals. Throughout his career, Dean has often been told that he is very good at explaining concepts to people. He is a very patient and caring individual who enjoys helping others. He loves teaching and assisting students in achieving their goals and looks forward to seeing you in his class soon.
Interns
Mike Xu is a student at the University of Toronto, currently studying Social Science. He was one of Inspired Scholars’ first students from elementary to high school where he worked on developing his English and critical thinking skills. Mike wishes to share the experience and knowledge he obtained with Inspired Scholar with other pupils and hopes to expand its community to deliver unique education that every student deserves.
